Cravings

I have definitely already started feeling the effects of pregnancy cravings on my daily life.  Today, for instance, I wanted nothing more in the entire world than a polish dog from Costco piled with ketchup, mustard and onions.  Normally gross?  Yes.  But today it was the most delicious lunch I've ever had.

I've also experienced the very strange aversions that usually accompany the cravings (so I've heard).  Anything I've eaten in the past month = keep it away from me!  Also burgers and fries... I have to turn the channel if a fast food commercial comes on TV.  There are only 3 things I have yet to be averted to after eating them over and over and over and over:  cherry tomatoes, mandarin oranges, and pineapple.  I could eat pounds and pounds of cherry tomatoes and never get sick of them!

This pregnancy rollercoaster is only 1/3 of the way done and I already feel like I'm living in someone else's body.  Let's hope I don't suddenly become averted to turkey and stuffing in the next 2 days!

Hello!

Hello everyone!  We are very excited and feel a little awkward about our blog debut.  This isn't necessarily something we ever thought we'd do, but we're excited for this new way to keep our family and loved ones updated from afar.

Hmmm... what to update on?  I'm 12 weeks along now, so we're hoping we're out of the woodworks as far as the scary part of the pregnancy, and the sickie part.  This Thanksgiving we'll be headed to my Uncle Lawson and Aunt Lizzy's house in San Francisco and then we'll head back down to Monterey on Saturday to go to Todd's Orientation for the State Parks!  We are so excited to see Todd's parents, Mike and Roberta there this weekend.  Todd is going to be at the academy in Monterey M-F for the next 8 months.  I am so very proud of him, but also sad that he'll be gone so much.  He's an amazing man sacrificing so much for our family!
